I am a self taught and award winning artist and have been painting for many years. After a successful solo exhibition in 1979, I received numerous commissions for animal portraits and now have works all over the UK, Europe, New Zealand, Canada and USA. I also enjoy painting wildlife, landscapes, seascapes and interesting old buildings. The mediums I employ are varied, but include watercolour, pen & ink, acrylic, and graphite and coloured pencils.
I enjoy doing demonstrations for art societies and other interested groups, and since becoming a Professional Associate of the SAA, I have been holding art classes and workshops at the beautiful
venue of Walton & Frinton Yacht Club, where the views are truly inspirational and ever changing.
These cater for all abilities and I get immense pleasure from seeing my students having fun and gaining confidence as they progress.
I live on the North Essex coast, overlooking the backwaters, with an assortment of animals for company.
